Train Sim World 3 is a realistic train driving simulator where you perform from day-to-day service to unique scenarios gameplay. The ScotRail Express: Edinburgh - Glasgow Route Add-On introduces vast iconic locations with new gameplay world interactions, weather dynamics and hot-spot site scenarios.

Route Overview

The Scotrail Express had me shift to an open generalist role during the early stages of development, as the route was the longest Rivet Games ever worked. The story concept wasn't a priority because the focus was on altered scenarios based on the timetable services.

My work for this project consisted of assisting with the visual signalling setups, which are the core gameplay aspects. Each signal had to be made accurately to its real-life counterparts. It was the most time-consuming but necessary task I had to go through.

The gameplay came after the visual setups were in place, with my line of work lean towards the tutorial and scenarios. It would include an introduction to the training tutorial and five levels taking place in small challenges. These scenarios involve the player understanding the layout and awareness of the route.
